Individualized Reading Instruction with the Starter Packs
My Reading Coach Gold Edition Starter Pack was developed for those who need to provide individualized reading instruction to a small group and want/need more options than the Single Student version as far as program administration and network use.
What Is Included
With the My Reading Coach Professional Starter Packs, you get the following items:These CDs will install the student database to a server and install the actual program to workstations, allowing multiple workstations to use the program at the same time. A License for Five Users
With the Starter Pack you start with up to five students on the program. A Teaching Guide
The Teaching Guide includes detailed information on the settings and use of the program. This guide will let you fine-tune the various program options to match particular students' abilities--further increasing the individualized instruction benefit. A Blackline Master Book
This book contains all the offline worksheets used with the program. You can copy the homework/exercises from the book instead of having to print them from within the program. One Year Free Technical Support
You get one year of free phone and e-mail technical support for the program in addition to the support website.
Reading Instruction for Small Groups
This version of My Reading Coach provides the same reading instruction benefits as the other versions (as described in the Benefits and How It Works pages). The primary difference is that it is limited to five specific, non-reusable students.
Since you are getting the Professional version, you also get the ability to create teacher accounts and group students according to class. Teacher accounts can be used to monitor progress and adjust settings for students assigned to their classes.
Each of the students can use the program for up to a year. If you follow the recommended guideline of about 30-60 minutes a day, five days a week, almost any student should finish well ahead of the deadline.
You can purchase additional students at any time. Once ordered, a new license key from Mindplay will be given. After entering the new key, you will be able to add the new students.
Teaching Reading on One Computer or Many
My Reading Coach can be installed on one computer and the students can take turns using that computer.
Alternately, the program can be installed on a network. The contents of the CDs can copied to individual workstations along with the program. The student database would reside on a server to allow students to use My Reading Coach at the same time.
Combining Multiple Packs on a Network
If you plan on using My Reading Coach on a network and purchase multiple Starter Packs, Class Packs, School Packs, or combination of packs, the total number of students can be combined so you only need to worry about one set of data files and one group of students.
For example, let's say you've ordered three Starter Packs and plan to put it on one network. Instead of messing with three different sets of students and data files, it can be combined into one database of 15 students and then organized into classes (or however you want).
