My Reading Coach - Proven Program

Interactive Program to Teach Grammar and Improve Reading Comprehension

Grammar activity Mindplay is proud to introduce the latest version in the My Reading Coach product line: My Reading Coach Gold.

My Reading Coach Gold continues the tradition of ground-breaking educational software for actually teaching reading. It incorporates all five key components for reading instruction from the National Reading Panel's findings.

It offers all the benefits and one-on-one interaction of My Reading Coach Standard as well as including:

New Phonemic Awareness Lessons
An additional 14 new lessons (for a total of 61) have been added to provide a comprehensive learning experience going from single sounds to multi-syllable words (up to 5 syllables), including tongue placement, sound/symbol association, blends and rules.

Built-in Grammar Instruction
Includes 24 grammar lessons containing all eight parts of speech, basic sentence structure, punctuation, pause points, and inflection—all of which support writing and reading comprehension.

Reading comprehension activity Reading Comprehension Activities
Over 180 stories covering 20 reading levels are included. The program monitors comprehension ability and improvement with both literal and inferential questions on the stories presented.

Enhanced Immediate, Specific Feedback
Using teacher infused intelligence™, the program is able to provide immediate, specific feedback for identifying and correcting a large range of student errors in all phonics and grammar activities. For example, the program can identify if the student has confused the sounds for "i" and "e", used "b" instead of "d", or selected the subject of a sentence instead of the object. It will then provide specific feedback to address the specific point--even if multiple mistakes are made in the same answer.

Additional Support Sheets
Over 300 support sheets are available from within the program. All the topics from the Standard version are still available. In addition, there are sheets for the new phonemic awareness lessons, sets for the grammar topics, and two new sets for reading comprehension (one for beginning readers and one for more advanced readers).
